Community Support Mission Statement:

Fostering Self Sufficiency through Empowerment, Education & Advocacy

The Community Support Services Division is a major contributor in OlyCAP’s service to those in need in our communities.   Though Emergency Services and Energy Assistance are what most people associate with us when they are looking for help, this division also oversees:

« Four Community Centers across the peninsula that offer a warm, inviting gathering place for seniors and others.

« The Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) where up to 500 volunteers help out with a myriad of organizations around the peninsula.

« Three employment related programs: Community Jobs which works in conjunction with DSHS to help TANF clients receive on the job training, a van pool for transportation to and from work on the west end ( Job Lift ), Working Image offers working women’s clothing and the intangible “something extra” so low-income women can present themselves at their best at interviews and on the job.
